KATIE LAID AN EGGY at Prototype 237

For the past 5 months, Robert Leverett and I have had the privilege of developing his Robert’s new play Katie Laid an Eggy as resident artists at Prototype 237 in paterson, NJ. the show finally premiered on November 16th and 17th. We were honored to have several sold out audiences come out to industrial new jersey to see this surreal, outrageous, and funny show. More info here.

ABOUT THE SHOw

The day before Katie's 30th birthday, she laid an egg. Then she laid five more. Hopefully that doesn't pull too much focus at the party! Katie Laid an Eggy is a play about Katie, who laid an egg (and then five more), and how that pulls focus at her birthday party. Maybe the eggs hatch, maybe they get turned into a nice frittata. Only one way to find out!

A performer wearing a black feathered bird mask with an orange beak poses dramatically in a black spaghetti-strap leotard. The colorful background features sunflowers, and glowing blue and purple lights.
