Liza Couser (she/her) is a director of funny, complex, ensemble-driven new work based in New York City.

Select recent credits: Katie Laid an Eggy (Director, Prototype 237), Depresh Mode (Director & Composer, Center at West Park), MEAT (Director, The Tank NYC), Tracy Triceratops and the End of History (Director, Vox Lab), With Words That Don’t Exist (Director, Vox Lab), Primetime Theater Festival (Co-Founder & Producer), Polylogues (Producer, HERE Arts Center). Liza has collaborated and presented work with Ars Nova, Northern Stage, New London Barn Playhouse, 59E59 Theaters, Theater for the New City, BRIC Arts, and Dartmouth College. she is is the co-founder of Attractive Nuisance, a Member of c4 Choral Collective, and an alum of the Roundabout Directors Group, SDCF Observership, Ars Nova Artistic Fellowship, and 24 Hour Plays Nationals. Liza has a B.A. in Theater and linguistics from Dartmouth College.
